So my Droid is connected to my car via AUX. I listen to Pandora whilst using Google Nav through my car speakers. Google Nav pauses Pandora whenever it needs to speak. No need for a second device.

Make sure that you take it with you when you get out of the car. When my family moved we had to stay in an apartment and left the windshield mount out the window, and the unit in the armrest. Some thiefs broke into the car and stole our GPS. Aside from having to sit in glass and being late that day, it was costly to replace the window, and harder to navigate afterwards. My dad has google maps on his iPhone, and usually gets the directions while my mom is driving, it works out pretty good.

I have a Droid (for better or worse) and i for the most part i like it better than a stand alone GPS. Mainly for the always up to date maps. I use a 3.5mm output cord to put the sound directly into the car stereo where i use the phone’s music player and the GPS. When a turn comes up the music cuts out and it says the directions. It does **** that you have to have a data connection. but as long as you have about one bar. it downloads the whole route so if you lose signal it wont stop navigating.

that’s why I loved getting the htc evo 4g from sprint because I don’t have to worry about updating my garmin, plus it’s more accurate at all times and you don’t have to pay for maps every year. And I plug my phone into the 3.5 jack on my stereo so I can hear it just fine.
